Affirmations for when you feel down

Low tide. It will come back in.

Feeling down is low tide: energy gone, colour drained, nothing particularly wrong but nothing right either. It passes, but it does not feel like it will. These affirmations are for getting through the flat hours.

How to use these

One line. Slowly.

Lower the bar. Pick one affirmation and one small comfort: a shower, a walk, a call, a meal. Let the line remind you that you do not have to feel better to deserve care. Down days respond to gentleness, not effort.

When it helps

Moments these were written for

  • A Sunday afternoon with no energy for anything
  • The days after a big event when everything feels flat
  • Winter weeks when light is short

Generic vs. yours

These ten are for everyone who feels down. The app writes ten for you.

Log “Down”, add a line about why, and FeelAI writes affirmations that mention what you actually said. With Memory, it also remembers your goals, your people and what helped last time, and tells you under each one why it was written for you.

Generic

“You are amazing. Today is your day.”

Premium · Down · note: “long day, skipped lunch”

Low days are part of a full life, not a verdict on it. The thing you mentioned this morning can wait until you have eaten.

Written for you because you said you skipped lunch again

FAQ

Questions about feeling down

What is the difference between feeling down and depression?
Feeling down is temporary and usually lifts within a day or two. Depression is persistent, lasts weeks, and affects sleep, appetite and interest in things you normally enjoy. If that sounds like you, speak to a doctor. Affirmations are support, not treatment.
Should I push through a down day?
Usually the opposite. Doing less, with kindness, tends to shorten a low day. Pushing often extends it.
